Creative of the month - Carmela Elizabeth

Hey TOGs!

We're back after a festive break and who better to return with than a member of the Tog Squad, Carmela Elizabeth, Tog’s marketing manager. We recently sat down and recorded an episode for Tog Talks all about how to use social media to enhance and grow your business. So we thought we'd share some additional questions that we asked Carmela but didn't make the episode!

How long have you worked in Marketing?

Around 4 years now, but I founded my own creative studio in the summer of 2020.

What made you found Studio Belvedere?

I've always wanted to work for myself, but to be honest I never thought I'd be in my 20s going it alone. Unfortunately I was left unemployed during the first lockdown back in 2020, so it was very much a spur of the moment thing to throw myself into the world of freelance.

What's your favourite thing about your job?

100% working with creatives and fellow female founders. I really enjoy supporting independent brands and watching them flourish online, it's so rewarding! Not to mention my job gives me a lot of creative freedom which I find super fulfilling.

What's your favourite service you offer?

I'd have to say either a Content Strategy or Content Creation.

Whether you’ve hit a brick wall when it comes to online growth or you’re in those all important initial stages of launching an online brand, having a content strategy in place is essential. Having a strategy will ensure that all your content is strategically aligned with your vision and if you want to utilise social media beyond aesthetics a Content Strategy is the best place to start.

My Content Creation services vary from filming + editing Reels for clients to creating social media templates for Instagram posts and stories.

What’s your favourite Tog product and why?

The Hard Drive Organiser, as a creative I’ve got 101 usbs, cables and adapters for portable chargers, ring lights, the list goes on. So the Hard Drive Organiser makes it super easy for me to store everything in my home office.

What devices do you use when shooting content?

Digital - Canon EOS 500D, for product photography.

Film - Nikon AF220 ( 29mm 1:4.5 Lense )

Iphone - for a lot of reels and BTS content.

What creatives inspire you?

This is really hard to summarise but just to name a few: Lydia Collins, MaryAnn Damarzo, Alex Krahling. I admire any creative that has built a career doing what they love!

Where can we find more information about your services?

You can find my services listed here www.studiobelvedere.co.uk and I’m @studiobelvedereltd on Instagram.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Running a successful creative studio that takes businesses from concept to cult brand. In the next few years I’d also love to grow a team of creatives and have an office space in London.

I'm currently working on launching a range of digital and physical products to support the modern entrepreneur so I'm really excited to see where this takes me.
